Upper Lake Ranger District Offices
Date: 2011
Location: Upper Lake, CA
Architect: Hilliard Architects
Project: The new building replaced three 1920’s residential buildings that were converted to offices with a 9065 square foot U-shaped building. Paki Muthig was project architect while working for Hilliard Architects. The wood framed building was constructed to blend in with the community and borrowed design elements from the surrounding buildings.
Features: The project utilized green design features such as: daylighting, high-efficiency building envelope, high-content flyash concrete, low-voc content paints and adhesives, plus more. Project was completed using Autodesk Revit (BIM) Software. Construction had to be phased to allow for two buildings to remain operational. Once the new building was constructed the remaining buildings were deconstructed.
