Project: The VA Palo Alto Lab Renovation involved two floors of a three floor 1930s brick building approx 17,629 sf with approx $9M budget. Five open labs with support space were designed for the two floors. I was the project architect for Hilliard Architects and worked with VA staff and consultants to develop these temporary laboratory solutions. Autodesk Revit (BIM) software was used to model the laboratories including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The mechanical system featured a chilled beam cooling system.
